Overview

Asana’s API manages projects, tasks, and teams — with OAuth 2.0 or a personal access token. Requests without auth return 401 (verified).

Authentication

• Personal access token: Asana → My Profile → Settings → Apps → Personal access tokens.
• Or OAuth 2.0 for apps.
• Send as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN (missing → 401, verified).

Rate Limits & Notes

• Rate limits are per workspace/org (~150 requests/min per user token — check docs).
• API v1.0 is stable and versioned via opt_fields for response control.
• Resources: users, projects, tasks, sections, teams, workspaces.
• gid is the stable identifier for every resource.

Is Asana API free? API access is free with any plan (rate limits apply).
